Site of racial attack on Roosevelt Island on August 10, 2014 against a Sikh family as they were returning to their car after dinner. Sikhs in the greater New York area have repeated been attacked for being 'Muslim' in look and appearance. The attackers repeatedly screamed 'Osama Bin Laden' at the man, and demanded they 'go back to their country'.
